ON HOLIDAY WITH GOD

I am convinced that many vacations are actually pilgrimages.  We return to certain place time and again because they are restorative in ways other places are not.  We are different when we are there, and when we return we know we have been in touch with other dimensions of our life.   We know there is “more” to us, and “more” to our lives. -Fr. Carm in the July/August edition of Hope Magazine, published by the Diocese of Joliet      At Mayslake Ministries, we too, believe that vacations, even a one day trip, can restore us to our inner center of grace, and that is the reason for the launching of our new spiritual enrichment program entitled, On Holiday with God.   Under the direction of Suzette Horyza, a Mayslake Ministries affiliate and seasoned tour guide, On Holiday with God trips will help us rediscover the mystery of God as it is revealed through the people, places, and things of new and exciting destinations. On Holiday with God will take you to such amazing places as the Chicago Botanical Gardens to find God in the beatuy of his creation, and Door County, Michigan to relax, unwind, and renew yourself in God's majesty. SUZETTE HORYZA       has been involved in Youth and Adult Ministry for over 20 years. Professionally, Suzette has travelled down many paths including artist, write, tour guide, senior center director, event planner and trainer.  All of these unique experiences have culminated in presenting retreats for men and women of all ages.  Suzette's mission is to encourage people to see God's joy and love in their "travels" wherever life leads them.  Her "God is Your Tour Guide" retreats are presented at churches and retreat houses throughout the Chicagoland and suburban area.
