Breaking the Silence: A Ministry for Raising Awareness of Mental Health
How can your parish become a sanctuary-a place where individuals living with mental health challenges feel safe, supported and a sense of belonging? How do we assist those in our parish community who struggle with caring for a loved one suffering from mental illness?
Breaking the Silence is an 8 part series created for parish leaders to help raise awareness and start conversations in parish communities about mental health. Facilitated by four certified spiritual directors with personal experience in mental health, this series will use the Catholic Sanctuary Course as a guideline for discussions on mental health issues and for resources that are available to serve your parishioners.
A free will donation from parish leaders will be accepted to offset cost of materials.
